Tossa Jute is one of the strongest forms of Jute within the different varieties of Jute grown. Its scientific name is Corchorus olitorius. This breed of jute is extremely sustainable to various climatic conditions and has a very high tensile strength. As compared to other varieties of Jute, Tossa jute needs minimum application of fertilizers for its growth. It is fully Bio-degradable and is one of the most environmentally friendly fibers available starting from the seed to the expired fiber.
